Inter, rotation at Venezia as derby and Feyenoord clash come into view
Chivu is considering managing his squad in Wednesday’s away match, with Milan and Feyenoord following closely.
Inter are preparing for their trip to Venezia with particular attention to energy management. According to Sky Sport, for Wednesday’s match on October 28 at 18:30, the Nerazzurri coach is considering some rotation, aiming to have the team in the best possible condition for the two fixtures that follow. The schedule includes the derby against Milan and another European appointment.
The plan is linked to the close succession of matches: after Venezia, Inter will face Milan on Saturday, October 31 at 20:45, before travelling for the Champions League meeting with Feyenoord, scheduled for Tuesday, November 3 at 21:00 in Rotterdam. The match against Venezia is therefore the first step in a demanding sequence, in which playing time will have to be managed without sacrificing balance or competitiveness.
The Nerazzurri enter this period on a three-match winning run: 3-1 away to Bologna on October 17, 1-0 against Shakhtar on October 21 and 2-1 versus Fiorentina on October 25. The next target is the Serie A fixture at Venezia, followed by the derby and the fourth Champions League match against Feyenoord. Chivu must therefore manage his resources with the two close fixtures already in mind.
