Chivu after Inter-Fiorentina: “Composure was rewarded”
The Nerazzurri coach reviews Inter’s 2-1 win over Fiorentina and praises the team’s ability to stay focused throughout the match.
Cristian Chivu commented on Inter’s victory over Fiorentina, secured on Sunday, October 25, with a 2-1 scoreline. The Nerazzurri coach highlighted the team’s management of the game, as they avoided losing their shape during the more difficult moments and completed their work with an important win.
According to the coach, the match was not easy because of the opponent’s qualities and the way the game developed. Inter continued to play in an organized manner, keeping their composure even when the contest seemed capable of slipping away. That consistency, combined with patience in their decisions, allowed the Nerazzurri to be rewarded at the end of the 90 minutes.
The 2-1 extends a positive recent run: before Fiorentina, Inter had beaten Bologna 3-1 away on October 17 and Shakhtar 1-0 in the Champions League on October 21. Inter now face another quick turnaround: on Wednesday, October 28, at 18:30, they will visit Venezia, before the Milan derby on October 31 and the European match against Feyenoord on November 3.
