Chivu praises Lavelli: “He showed great personality”
After the win over Fiorentina, the Inter coach highlighted the impact of the young attacker who came on during the second half.
After Inter’s 2-1 win over Fiorentina on Sunday, October 25, Cristian Chivu praised Matteo Lavelli. The young Viola striker came on during the match, immediately changed its tempo and made his presence felt, confirming the qualities already displayed in the youth system.
The Inter coach particularly highlighted the personality Lavelli showed when called upon. The 2006-born forward won the penalty that allowed Fiorentina to reopen the game, causing several problems for the Nerazzurri defence. It was an influential performance despite the limited minutes, enough to catch Chivu’s attention and add an interesting element to the reading of the match.
For Inter, the victory provided continuity after the Champions League success against Shakhtar and the 3-1 away win at Bologna. The Nerazzurri will return to action on Wednesday, October 28, at 18:30 away to Venezia in Serie A, before facing Milan on October 31 at 20:45. The schedule therefore presents another demanding game after the comeback against Fiorentina.
