Vanoli looks back on Inter defeat: “Fiorentina gave a great performance”

Nicola Vanoli has looked back on the match between Fiorentina and Inter, played on October 25 and won 2-1 by the Nerazzurri. The Viola coach chose to look beyond the result, highlighting the quality of the performance produced by his team against Inter.

“Against Inter we put in a great performance,” Vanoli reiterated. His words offer a positive reading of the game despite the defeat: in the Fiorentina coach’s view, the attitude and response shown by his players represented a foundation to build on. The comment came several days after the meeting with the Nerazzurri.

For Inter, that 2-1 remains one of the latest official results before the 3-1 defeat against Milan on October 31. Cristian Chivu’s team will face Feyenoord in Rotterdam on Tuesday, November 3, at 21:00, in the fourth Champions League round. Their next fixture will be against Como at San Siro on Sunday, November 8, at 18:00, in Serie A.
