Inter, Curva Nord protests after derby defeat with banner against team
Strong reaction from Nerazzurri fans after Milan’s 3-1 win: the supporters criticized the team’s attitude and failure to greet them.
The derby defeat has created consequences away from the pitch as well. After Milan’s 3-1 win on Saturday, October 31, Inter’s Curva Nord expressed its anger through a banner aimed at the team. The message focused above all on the attitude shown in the city derby and on the players’ failure to greet the supporters at the end of the match.
The protest comes during a difficult moment for Cristian Chivu’s squad. The Curva’s judgment was clear: in the view of the Nerazzurri supporters, Inter approached the derby without the necessary intensity and then avoided facing the crowd. The message adds another source of tension to a disappointing night at San Siro, already defined by Milan’s 3-1 victory.
Inter had reached the derby after wins against Fiorentina, beaten 2-1 on October 25, and Venezia, defeated 2-0 on October 28. The team must now respond in the Champions League: on Tuesday, November 3, at 21:00, Inter will visit Feyenoord Rotterdam. Inter-Como follows on November 8 at 18:00, then Atalanta-Inter on November 22 at 20:45.
