Venezia-Inter, Chivu rotates: Pio Esposito and Bonny set to start

Inter are preparing for their away match against Venezia, scheduled for today, Wednesday 28 October, at 18:30. Cristian Chivu is considering significant rotation ahead of the next fixtures and appears ready to field an unfamiliar attacking partnership: Pio Esposito and Bonny are tipped to start.

The midfield could also see changes. Piotr Zielinski is currently ahead of Hakan Calhanoglu, with the coach looking to manage the squad’s energy levels. Filip Stankovic is another situation to monitor, as he could be given an opportunity against the Venetian side. The formation indications confirm Chivu’s intention to alternate players without changing the approach to the match.

The game comes after three consecutive Inter wins: 3-1 at Bologna, 1-0 against Shakhtar in the Champions League and 2-1 against Fiorentina. After Venezia, the Nerazzurri will face Milan on Saturday 31 October at 20:45 and Feyenoord on Tuesday 3 November at 21:00. Chivu must therefore manage the schedule between Serie A and Europe.
