Vanoli disappointed after Inter-Fiorentina: “The players deserved more”
The Fiorentina coach comments on the defeat against Inter and backs his players after the 2-1 result at San Siro.
Paolo Vanoli commented on Fiorentina’s 2-1 defeat against Inter. After Sunday’s match on October 25, the Viola coach chose to focus on his team’s performance despite the negative result against the Nerazzurri.
The coach expressed his regret for his players, arguing that their effort deserved greater recognition. Vanoli therefore viewed the game as a closely contested encounter in which Fiorentina could have collected a full reward. His comments came after Inter completed its comeback and held on to the victory until the final whistle.
For Cristian Chivu’s side, the 2-1 win over Fiorentina marked a third consecutive positive result: before that came a 3-1 victory away to Bologna and a 1-0 home success against Shakhtar in the Champions League. The schedule offers no break: on Wednesday, October 28 at 18:30, Inter will visit Venezia, while the derby against Milan is scheduled for Saturday, October 31 at 20:45.
