Van Bronckhorst: “Inter different from Como. I watched the derby, but...”
The Feyenoord coach previews the Champions League clash with Inter and distinguishes the upcoming opponent from the team that will face Como in Serie A.
On the eve of the Champions League clash between Feyenoord and Inter, scheduled for Tuesday, November 3 at 9 p.m. in Rotterdam, Giovanni van Bronckhorst assessed the Nerazzurri’s current situation. The Dutch coach stressed that the European match will present a different scenario from Inter’s following league fixture against Como.
Van Bronckhorst said he watched Saturday’s derby, which ended with Milan’s 3-1 victory on October 31, but urged observers not to treat the San Siro game as an absolute reference point. In his view, the Inter taking the field in the Champions League will be a different team from the one that will face Como in Serie A: the setting, competition and approach will make the meeting with Feyenoord a special challenge.
For Inter, the trip to the Netherlands comes after wins over Fiorentina, beaten 2-1 on October 25, and Venezia, defeated 2-0 on October 28, but also after the derby loss. The schedule immediately offers a chance to respond: Feyenoord-Inter is next, while the home match against Como is set for Sunday, November 8 at 6 p.m.
