Tresoldi scores a hat-trick against Inter: from Gubbio to San Siro

Nicolò Tresoldi stole the spotlight in the Champions League clash between Inter and Club Brugge. The striker, whose career also included a spell in Gubbio, scored three times at San Siro in the match played on October 13, helping the Belgian side beat the Nerazzurri 4-3.

It was a major personal night for Tresoldi: a hat-trick against Inter, at one of Europe’s most prestigious stadiums, made him the undisputed star of the game. The result handed Cristian Chivu’s team a damaging defeat in its European campaign, with four goals conceded in front of its home supporters.

After that loss, Inter responded in the Champions League by beating Shakhtar 1-0 on October 21. In Serie A, the Nerazzurri are coming off a 3-1 victory over Bologna on October 17. Their next fixture is scheduled for Sunday, October 25, at 12:30, again at San Siro, against Fiorentina: another opportunity to continue their run after the European double-header.
