Stramaccioni: “Inter are unstoppable in Serie A, but make too many errors in Europe”

Andrea Stramaccioni has highlighted Inter’s contrasting performances in different competitions. In an analysis published today by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the former Nerazzurri coach described Cristian Chivu’s team as potentially dominant in Serie A, provided it can consistently play its own football.

The former coach’s assessment also includes a clear warning. Stramaccioni pointed to the number of mistakes Inter have made in the Champions League, an issue that can become costly against opponents able to punish every lapse in concentration. His reading therefore distinguishes between the domestic campaign, where Inter can be extremely powerful when they play like Inter, and the difficulties shown on the European stage.

The schedule immediately provides an opportunity to test the Nerazzurri’s league consistency. After the 3-1 win at Bologna on October 17, Inter will face Fiorentina on Sunday, October 25, at 12:30. Venezia away follows on October 28 at 18:30, before the Milan derby on October 31 at 20:45. In Europe, the 1-0 victory over Shakhtar on October 21 came after the 4-3 home defeat to Club Brugge on October 13.
