Nicola responds to controversy after Venezia-Inter: “I focus on Como”
The Venezia coach revisits the clash with the Nerazzurri and turns his attention to the next match against Como.
Davide Nicola has put Venezia’s defeat against Inter behind him and, ahead of the next fixture with Como, also addressed the controversy surrounding the match against the Nerazzurri. The coach chose not to fuel the debate, instead stressing the need to look forward and prepare his team for another league challenge.
In his remarks, Nicola said Venezia must turn what happened against Inter into experience without remaining caught up in incidents and arguments. The Veneto side were beaten 2-0 on October 28, with the Nerazzurri taking all three points. The issue of the protests was therefore framed by the coach as part of the team’s overall management and preparation for the meeting with Como.
For Inter, the win at Venezia was followed by a 3-1 derby defeat against Milan on October 31. The Nerazzurri return to action on Tuesday, November 3, at 21:00 in the Champions League against Feyenoord in Rotterdam. Their next Serie A appointment is on Sunday, November 8, at 18:00, at San Siro, against Como.
