Nicola after Venezia-Inter: “The journey matters, not one episode”

After losing 0-2 to Inter at the Penzo on Wednesday, October 28, Davide Nicola shared his assessment of the match during his press conference. The Venezia coach refused to judge the performance through a single moment, choosing instead to place the game within the broader development of his team.

Nicola stressed that a match cannot be assessed solely by one episode. His comments therefore focused on continuity, the work carried out by the group and the progress made over time. The coach’s message accompanied his analysis of a defeat against an Inter side that managed to score twice and leave Venice with the victory.

For Inter, the result in Veneto is the team’s third consecutive positive result after the 1-0 Champions League win over Shakhtar on October 21 and the 2-1 victory against Fiorentina on October 25. Cristian Chivu’s side will return to action immediately: the Milan derby is scheduled for Saturday, October 31, at 20:45, with Inter visiting Milan in Serie A.
