Napoli-Inter Women, official lineups: Bugeja starts on the bench
Sassarini selects Polli and Cambiaghi against Napoli, while Bugeja is not included in the Nerazzurri starting eleven.
The lineups for Napoli-Inter Women are official, with the match scheduled for today, Saturday 24 October 2026. Nerazzurri coach Sassarini has made his decisions and left Bugeja out of the starting team. The game therefore highlights a clear attacking solution, with Polli and Cambiaghi asked to lead Inter’s forward line.
Bugeja’s exclusion is the main detail in the Nerazzurri team sheet. Sassarini is instead relying on the partnership of Polli and Cambiaghi, the latter already in the spotlight after scoring in the previous victory over Parma. The choice gives both forwards responsibility for supporting the attacking play and finding openings in Napoli’s defence.
For Inter Women, the match will test the coach’s decisions and the attack’s ability to perform with Bugeja initially on the bench. The club also faces a busy weekend: on Sunday 25 October at 12:30, the men’s team will host Fiorentina in Serie A at San Siro. For today’s game, the Nerazzurre are placing their trust in Polli and Cambiaghi.
