Inter Women, Sassarini after the derby: “Special win, now Manchester City”

Inter Women claimed the derby with a convincing 3-0 victory over Milan. After the match, Sassarini discussed the Nerazzurri success, stressing the special value of a fixture that always brings extra emotion and pressure.

“Winning the derby is special,” the coach said. The result gave the Nerazzurre a wide victory without conceding, making the outcome against their city rivals even more significant. Sassarini nevertheless refused to dwell only on the celebrations: “Now our focus is on City,” was the message delivered to the group after the 3-0 win.

The derby is already behind Inter Women, who are now looking ahead to their next meeting with Manchester City. The priority identified by the coach is to remain focused after a performance completed with a three-goal margin. The win over Milan gives the Nerazzurre momentum and confidence, but the campaign immediately continues with a high-level international fixture.
