Monza are enjoying Varela’s brace against Cagliari, a performance that has placed the young talent in the spotlight. Among those watching was Dario Baccin, Inter’s sporting director.
After the Nerazzurri executive’s recent visit to the Brianza club, Varela joins the list of players being monitored by Inter. The attacker’s display, compared in terms of effectiveness to Malen’s, provides another lead for the club’s recruitment department.
