Inter U23-Salernitana: tension in the stands as fans split
Around 300 Salernitana supporters reached the Breda, while some groups chose to boycott the away trip against Inter U23.
The match between Inter U23 and Salernitana has been overshadowed by a split among the Granata supporters. Around 300 Campania fans arrived at the Breda to follow their team against the Nerazzurri side, but the away trip did not receive unanimous backing from the organized groups.
Some sections of the fanbase chose not to attend, effectively launching a boycott. That decision has sparked debate within the Salernitana environment and made the supporters’ presence an issue alongside the match itself. The number of fans in attendance nevertheless remains notable, given the distance and the circumstances surrounding the fixture.
For Inter, the game is another step in the second team’s development, while the senior side is coming off two significant wins: a 2-0 victory over Venezia and a 3-0 Champions League success against Feyenoord, with a 3-1 derby defeat to Milan in between. The Nerazzurri’s next match is against Como on Sunday, November 8, at 18:00.
