Inter, three matches in seven days: Fiorentina, Venezia and the derby
The Nerazzurri face an intense week: Fiorentina first, followed by Venezia and Milan in Serie A.
Cristian Chivu’s Inter are preparing for a week focused entirely on Serie A. The next appointment is scheduled for Sunday, October 25 at 12:30 against Fiorentina, in the eighth round. On Wednesday, October 28 at 18:30, the Nerazzurri will visit Venezia for matchday nine. The sequence will end on Saturday, October 31 at 20:45 with the derby against Milan, part of the tenth round.
The schedule therefore brings three fixtures within just seven days, beginning with a home game and continuing with two away matches, including the city’s most eagerly awaited showdown. Chivu will have to manage energy and selections after the European victory over Shakhtar, secured on October 21 by a 1-0 scoreline. The program offers little time for a lengthy break and quickly takes Inter toward another important stage of the league campaign.
The Nerazzurri enter the Fiorentina match after a 3-1 win away to Bologna on October 17. Before that, in the Champions League, they had suffered a 4-3 defeat against Club Brugge on October 13. Sunday’s game is therefore the immediate priority; Venezia and Milan will follow, completing a run of three Serie A matches in one week.
