Inter take a rest day in Appiano after victory over Shakhtar
After their 1-0 Champions League win, the Nerazzurri have a day without training at Appiano Gentile.
Inter are taking a break for one day. On Friday, October 23, 2026, the Nerazzurri squad will not train at Appiano Gentile, one day after their Champions League victory over Shakhtar. The decision follows Wednesday’s 1-0 win at San Siro, a result that allowed Chivu’s team to close its European appointment in the best possible way.
The schedule therefore includes a pause for the players before they return to work ahead of the next official fixture. No statements connected to the rest day or further individual updates on the squad have been released. Attention now remains focused on managing energy after a demanding match and recovering ahead of the next league commitment.
The calendar leaves little room: on Sunday, October 25, at 12:30, Inter will host Fiorentina on Serie A matchday eight. The trip to Venezia follows on Wednesday, October 28, at 18:30, before the derby against Milan on Saturday, October 31, at 20:45. Before the break, the Nerazzurri had beaten Bologna 3-1 and lost 4-3 to Club Brugge.
