Inter’s renewal plan goes beyond Thuram: four stars to be secured
The Nerazzurri management is preparing to accelerate talks on new contracts to protect the team’s core.
Inter are looking ahead and preparing a fresh move on the renewal front. Alongside the situation involving Marcus Thuram, the Nerazzurri management is believed to have identified four more extensions needed to protect the team’s key players. The aim is to ensure continuity for the sporting project and limit the room for clubs interested in members of the squad.
Beppe Marotta is reportedly ready to accelerate talks and turn plans into concrete agreements. The strategy therefore concerns five situations in total, with Thuram still attracting attention because of interest from the Premier League. The club wants to act early, protecting the team’s technical value while keeping the wage issue under control. However, the names of the other four players, as well as figures and possible contract lengths, have not yet been made public.
Inter’s recent form remains positive: after beating Bologna 3-1, the Nerazzurri defeated Shakhtar 1-0 in the Champions League and Fiorentina 2-1. The schedule now brings an immediate test: Venezia-Inter is set for Wednesday, October 28, at 18:30, followed by the derby against Milan on Saturday, October 31, at 20:45. On Tuesday, November 3, at 21:00, Inter will travel to face Feyenoord.
