Inter, Chivu explains his choices: Stankovic and Thuram start at Venezia

Cristian Chivu has explained his selection decisions ahead of Venezia-Inter, scheduled for today, Wednesday 28 October, at 18:30 at the Penzo. Stankovic and Marcus Thuram are both in the starting lineup, two choices on which the Inter coach decided to focus in front of the journalists.

The coach outlined why he chose to rely on both players from the opening whistle. Stankovic’s inclusion is a precise decision for the match against Eusebio Di Francesco’s side, while Thuram returns to the starting eleven after being assessed by the staff in recent hours. Chivu has therefore defined the plan with which Inter will approach the trip to the lagoon.

The team arrives in Venice after three consecutive victories: 3-1 away to Bologna, 1-0 against Shakhtar in the Champions League and 2-1 over Fiorentina. After the Penzo fixture, the schedule brings the derby against Milan on Saturday 31 October at 20:45. On Tuesday 3 November, the Nerazzurri will visit Feyenoord in Rotterdam for the fourth Champions League matchday.
