Inter, Barcelona return for Bastoni: defender asks Flick for guarantees

Barcelona are pushing again for Alessandro Bastoni, reopening a transfer scenario that keeps Inter on alert. The Nerazzurri defender has reportedly not closed the door on a possible move to Catalonia, but before seriously considering the operation he wants to understand the project designed for him.

The key issue concerns the assurances Bastoni is asking from Hansi Flick. The defender wants to know how much space he would have in the German coach’s hierarchy and what role he would be given within the team. Barcelona’s interest therefore remains concrete, but the player’s openness does not amount to a final decision or an agreement between the clubs.

For Inter, this is a delicate matter, with the derby against Milan scheduled for Saturday, October 31 at 20:45 as the next official fixture. The Nerazzurri arrive after three wins: 1-0 against Shakhtar in the Champions League, 2-1 against Fiorentina and 2-0 away to Venezia. Feyenoord-Inter follows on November 3 at 21:00.
