Icardi seeks a club: “Returning to Inter would be special”
The former Nerazzurri striker is looking ahead and has not closed the door on a return: “I still have a lot to give”
Mauro Icardi is looking for a new club and, while discussing his future, has also reopened a door leading to Inter. The Argentine striker did not hide his bond with the Nerazzurri, suggesting that he would like to experience another important chapter at the highest level of football.
The former Inter centre-forward’s message was clear: “I still have a lot to give.” Asked about the possibility of seeing him back at San Siro in an Inter shirt, Icardi also described a return as “something special.” His words put the Argentine back at the centre of the transfer-market discussion, although they do not point to an active negotiation or an imminent decision.
For Inter, the priority remains on the pitch. The Nerazzurri enter the derby after victories over Shakhtar, Fiorentina and Venezia, by scores of 1-0, 2-1 and 2-0 respectively. The next fixture is away to Milan on Saturday, October 31, at 20:45. Only after the Serie A clash could any transfer-market reflections linked to Icardi take shape.
