Diouf looks to the derby: “Venezia were difficult, now it’s Milan”

After the 2-0 victory over Venezia, Diouf met the press to discuss Inter’s performance. The match, played on Wednesday 28 October, demanded focus and the ability to manage the more difficult phases of the game. With the fixture at the Penzo behind them, the midfielder has already turned his attention to the next challenge: the derby against Milan.

During his press conference, Diouf described the match against the Veneto side as difficult, while also highlighting his satisfaction with the result. He then stressed that his focus is now on Saturday’s derby. He was also asked about his position on the pitch. The Nerazzurri player explained how he interprets his role, making clear that his contribution cannot be limited to just one area of the field.

Inter head into the derby after three straight wins: 1-0 against Shakhtar in the Champions League on 21 October, 2-1 against Fiorentina in Serie A on 25 October and 2-0 at Venezia on 28 October. Milan-Inter is scheduled for Saturday 31 October at 20:45, in matchday ten of the league. The European trip to Feyenoord will follow on Tuesday 3 November.
