Dimarco’s extension through 2028 would be agreed, but his €7.5 million annual demand has hardened Inter’s position.

Federico Dimarco’s future remains at the centre of Inter’s transfer activity. According to reports published on October 25, the Nerazzurri and the wing-back would have reached an agreement to continue together until 2028. However, agreeing on the length of the deal has not brought the negotiations to an end.

The dispute concerns his salary. Dimarco is said to have put forward a demand worth €7.5 million per season, a figure considered a huge wage. The club, at least for now, does not appear willing to meet it and has adopted a firm position. The extension therefore remains possible, but the financial gap means the operation cannot yet be considered complete.

The issue comes during an intense period for Inter. The Nerazzurri are coming off a 2-1 win over Fiorentina on October 25, following a 3-1 victory in Bologna and a 1-0 Champions League success against Shaktar. Venezia-Inter is scheduled for Wednesday, October 28, at 18:30; Milan and Feyenoord will follow.
