Derby, San Siro reopens the Third Tier with a crowd record expected
Ahead of Milan-Inter, the Meazza expands its capacity again as Amorim and Chivu prepare for a derby set to draw a record crowd.
San Siro is preparing for a record-breaking derby. For Milan-Inter, scheduled for Saturday, October 31 at 20:45, the stadium’s Third Tier will once again be open to supporters. The decision increases the number of available seats for the clash between Ruben Amorim’s team and Cristian Chivu’s Inter, with the Meazza ready to create a special setting for the match.
The reopening of the upper tier is the main update concerning attendance. The greater capacity is pushing the Milan derby toward the season’s highest crowd figure. Attention will therefore focus not only on the tactical battle between the two coaches, but also on the atmosphere inside San Siro, which is set to host one of the most anticipated fixtures on the calendar.
Inter enter the match after three straight wins: a 1-0 Champions League victory over Shakhtar on October 21, a 2-1 Serie A success against Fiorentina on October 25 and a 2-0 win at Venezia on October 28. After the derby, the Nerazzurri will visit Feyenoord on Tuesday, November 3 at 21:00 in the fourth Champions League matchday.
