Como president Suwarso looks to Barcelona: “We want to become like them”

Como are approaching their match against Inter with a clear ambition. In an interview with TNT Sports, president Suwarso identified Barcelona as the reference point for the Lombardy club’s growth, outlining the direction of the project ahead of their Serie A meeting.

“We are inspired by Barça; we want to become like them,” the Como president said. The statement defines the club’s long-term horizon, without turning into an immediate promise regarding results. The team from Como is therefore looking toward an international model, with the aim of building a recognisable and ambitious identity.

For Inter, the subject is directly part of the build-up to Sunday’s match, scheduled for 8 November at 18:00. The Nerazzurri are coming off a 2-0 win over Venezia, a 3-1 derby defeat against Milan and a convincing 3-0 Champions League victory away to Feyenoord. After facing Como, Inter will play Atalanta on 22 November at 20:45.
