Chivu sets the line for Inter: no excuses over refereeing decisions
After the win over Fiorentina, the Nerazzurri coach made his position clear on alleged refereeing injustices.
After Inter’s match against Fiorentina, Cristian Chivu also addressed the issue of refereeing decisions and the possible disadvantages suffered by the Nerazzurri. The coach chose a clear approach: the group must not look for outside justifications after a game, even when it believes it has been wronged.
The coach explained that he does not want to see players focused on protests or complaints against the referee. “I don’t want people complaining about the referee” was the idea reiterated by Chivu, who therefore played down the debate surrounding alleged “injustices” against Inter. The priority he set for the team remains reacting on the pitch and keeping control of the match.
The 2-1 win over Fiorentina followed the 3-1 victory at Bologna and the 1-0 result against Shakhtar in the Champions League. Inter must now prepare for the away game against Venezia FC, scheduled for Wednesday, October 28 at 18:30. After that trip, the calendar brings the derby against Milan on Saturday, October 31 at 20:45.
