Chivu names Inter’s penalty takers: “Calhanoglu, Zielinski and Sucic”

On the day of Inter’s 2-1 win over Fiorentina, Cristian Chivu discussed several aspects of his team in an interview reported by SOS Fanta. One of the clearest indications concerned penalties, with the coach identifying three possible specialists within the Nerazzurri squad.
According to Chivu, the list includes Hakan Calhanoglu, Piotr Zielinski and Petar Sucic. His assessment of Marcus Thuram was more cautious, with the coach suggesting that he has doubts about using the Frenchman as a penalty taker. Chivu also praised Thuram’s ability to make an impact, describing it as devastating. The conversation also covered Bonny, Pio Esposito and Lavelli, three other players being closely monitored by the coach.
The comments came after three important positive results: the 3-1 win at Bologna on October 17, the 1-0 Champions League victory over Shakhtar on October 21 and the 2-1 victory against Fiorentina on October 25.
