Champions League, Inter standings updated after the victory
The win over Shakhtar has put Inter back on track: the latest update on the Nerazzurri’s Champions League campaign.
Inter have updated their 2026/27 Champions League campaign after the second European match listed in their schedule. The 4-3 defeat against Club Brugge on October 13 was followed by a response against Shakhtar: on October 21, the Nerazzurri won 1-0 and moved their European situation forward again.
The record from those two matches is therefore one defeat and one victory, with four goals scored and four conceded. The result against the Ukrainian side allowed Inter to end the negative sequence opened by the Club Brugge match and approach the next standings update with greater momentum. The table remains the key reference for assessing the European campaign, while the team’s overall consistency still needs to be strengthened.
After the European fixture, Inter defeated Bologna 3-1 in Serie A on October 17. Their next official match is against Fiorentina on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at 12:30; Venezia-Inter follows on October 28 at 18:30, before Milan-Inter on October 31 at 20:45. Three league matches are therefore scheduled in quick succession after the European win.
