Calhanoglu open to renewal: Inter assess the midfielder’s demands

Hakan Calhanoglu’s future remains one of Inter’s most delicate dossiers. The Turkish midfielder has shown an openness to continuing his experience in Nerazzurro, but a renewal is not considered automatic: precise demands are on the table and will have to be assessed by the club.

The player’s position therefore leaves room for dialogue without becoming an unconditional commitment. Inter have taken note of the midfielder’s requirements and must now determine whether there is room to reach an agreement. The discussion concerns the club’s future project and the financial terms of any new deal. No final decision has been formalised, but the issue has entered Inter’s planning.

Calhanoglu remains a central figure for the team as Inter seek consistency after beating Fiorentina 2-1 and Venezia 2-0. The 3-1 derby defeat to Milan, however, ended that winning run. The next opportunity comes tonight, Tuesday 3 November 2026 at 21:00, in Rotterdam against Feyenoord in the Champions League.
