Biasin defends Chivu: “Inter are not obliged to win”
On Pressing, the journalist took a stand for the Nerazzurri coach, who has faced criticism after the derby defeat.
During the latest episode of Pressing, broadcast by Mediaset Infinity, Fabrizio Biasin discussed Inter’s current situation and the criticism aimed at Cristian Chivu. The journalist highlighted the excessive harshness of the judgment against the coach, who came under scrutiny after the 3-1 defeat to Milan on October 31.
The central point of his intervention was summed up in a clear statement: “Chivu has been massacred.” Biasin then called for a less absolute view within the Nerazzurri environment, arguing that “Inter are not obliged to win.” The message concerns both the assessment of the coach and the expectations placed on the team at this stage of the season.
The derby defeat came after two consecutive Serie A wins: the 2-1 against Fiorentina on October 25 and the 0-2 victory away to Venezia on October 28. The first chance to respond will come on Tuesday, November 3 at 21:00, when Inter face Feyenoord in Rotterdam on Champions League matchday four. In the league, the next fixture will be on Sunday, November 8 at 18:00 against Como at San Siro.
