Amorim praises Inter: “They play with their eyes closed”
Ahead of the derby, Amorim highlighted Inter’s understanding on the pitch and recalled his discussions with Chivu.
Ahead of the Milan derby, Amorim spoke highly of Inter. In his assessment of the Nerazzurri, he focused on the ease with which Chivu’s players develop their football and find each other on the pitch.
“Inter are a team that play with their eyes closed,” Amorim said, pointing to the level of understanding established within the squad. During his comments, he also referred to Chivu: “With Chivu, we used to complain…”. The reference underlines a relationship built over time and adds weight to his evaluation of the Inter side, which he considers capable of carrying out its tactical movements with a high degree of automation.
The derby will be played on Saturday, October 31, at 20:45. Inter enter the match after three consecutive wins: 1-0 against Shakhtar in the Champions League on October 21, 2-1 against Fiorentina on October 25 and 2-0 at Venezia on October 28. After facing Milan, the Nerazzurri will visit Feyenoord on Tuesday, November 3, at 21:00 in the Champions League.
